Dear Friends,
I am reading a 30 Day Devotional for Men. We have covered being a good guy, a good husband, and a good dad - all good and encouraging stuff. Now we are into the section on being a good worker.
Everywhere we look we see signs and reminders that our work does matter to God. I get that part. I believe that what I do does matter to God and that He is happy when I do my work in a Godly way.
This week, however, my eyes have been opened to look at this commandment through a slightly different lens.
Yesterday, I was encouraged to be exhausted at the end of the day and to refuse to take the easy way out. God wants my all.
And today, I am reminded that there is no room for mediocre work - God wants my best.
How different and exciting to be encouraged in our depth and quality of work.
So, I quickly decided I had better pass this message along as a word of encouragement first thing this morning because by this afternoon I'll be too tired to even type and I have no idea what tomorrow's message might bring.
You are a shining light of what it means to give your all and your best - thank you for your commitment to what you do.
I pray for your health, your families and I pray that you have the strength to make it through each day.
Blessings,
Dave
